AU PETIT JOUR

"II faut un village pour élever un enfant"
IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD

 ABOUT ME

Who I Am

Au Petit Jour means "dawn" in French, the early hours of a brand new day when the day has barely started and there is little light. The name reminded me of what the postpartum time means to me: the dawn of a new life, the dawn of a new journey into parenthood. It captures the essence of what is postpartum. Its highs, its lows, the uncertainty of it all and getting to know your baby. Au petit jour is full of promises.

"I knew when preparing for the arrival of my second child that nourishing my body and mind was a priority. I love to cook and knowing that I'd have healthy meals prepared - eased my anxiety. We were so fortunate to find Stephanie who shares a love of cooking and is a valuable resource when it comes to anything post partum given her experience and expertise. Having someone in your home when you're running on little to no sleep can seem daunting, but Stephanie was such a pleasure + easy to welcome into our home. She cooked incredible meals for me and my family, and was enjoyable company especially in those first few weeks when it can feel isolated and lonely with a newborn. I would absolutely recommend her for post partum care!" Krisanna, NC
